Well.... I successfully rekitted my NEX6 this weekend. It suffered a terminal boom strike while I was doing piro tick-tocks at HRCC on Saturday. It was pretty spectacular, actually. After the explosion, the main frames/electronics hit the ground with a loud thud...and the blade fragments and what`s left of the tail rained down for about 3 seconds after the fact.

It`s all good though, because I still have the X7 and the NX7 to fly until the new NEX6 kit gets here...Hahaha.

Bad luck Geena, well it will give you something to do building the new kit.
Yeah, it happens sometimes. Gaui is sending me a new kit, and I should get it soon. I`ll have the new one in the air in a week or so. :)

I’ve become quite a Gaul fan recently with the purchase of an X4ii and an X5, I already had an X3 & X3L all great machines.

I don't think I have ever seen swash driver arms damaged like that. Quite unfortunate about the boom strike. What do you think caused it? Worn out bushings in the head block? Or just too aggressive on the controls combined with blade flex?

The dampers are made for speed, so I`m sure they are too soft. That combined with pretty aggressive piro tic-tocks, sealed the deal......I think. Once I get the new kit from Gaui, I`ll put harder dampers in the head and send it again.
