700 Ar7200 Set Up

Hi all, you probably don`t remember me buying an assault 700 (mixed responses as i expected) got the machine into the setup phase using my dx9 and spektrum ar7200bx got to the part where the swash plate servo`s move together however two move as you would expect the other moves barely like maybe 10 % of the amount the others do.
I have been racking my brains, done resets on dx9 and fbl unit to no avail, any input would be appreciated

Kindest regards,

Rick

Hey Rick. So you say that 2 moves correctly and 2 moves 10 percent. Have you try switching the servos around? Unplug the 2 servos that moves correctly and plug them where the 2 servos barely move? That way you can tell if you have 2 bad servos or if it's something else like the FBL unit not working properly.

Hi, tnx for response, sadly that is not the issue although I am sure it is something along those lines, I have even swapped out the ar7200 for another ar7200.
other than that actual part of set up the servo seems ok.

Regards
Rick.

Try making a new model. Seems like travel limit was adjusted in the radio. When you have an anomalies like this it could be better to just start over. This will also eliminate the possibility of it being a setting in radio.

Tried a new model in dx9 still same issue, I'm thinking I need to update firmware in dx9, can this be done without or do I need to buy a spektrum USB interface lead?

I'm not sure why the mixer is 90 and the AR is 120. It just does with the AR7200BX and 7300BX. If I'm correct, the Micro beast is the same way. Maybe that's the way they design it to be but as long as you do follow the manuel...you should be fine. Sorry I can't be any help but maybe someone else can answer your question.

My guess is the radio is at 90 and the bx is set to 120, which makes sense. They do want the radio to do any kind of mixing. The FBL is going to do all the mixing. That's just my guess .

Hey! Ive finally cracked it (or we have!) tx at 90 or normal as it is on a dx9 and ar at 120, also the guy that built it (and I suspect never flew it!) also had the pitch and elevator servos in the wrong ports in ar7200 which obviously wasn't helping matters.
The only issue now is cant go outside to fly in case I get corona virus!!
Seriously thanks to everybody who has offered advice with this heli

Kindest regards,

Rick

Actually not to be a smart a###### but you wont get it from going outside. I sense a bit of facetiousness in that statement as well. Anyhow just go and have some fun. Stay away from people and keep the bugger hooks out of the soup cooler and you will be fine.

My only concern about this is that I have a couple people in my life that are high risk. So I am being cautions to a degree. other than that I am going to try and continue on with my life. As long as the mail, ups and Fedex keep rolling I will be cool. infact I may order the few pieces i need to get back out again and fly. Who knows maybe I can catch a felony for flying :lmao:

If you catch the virus by going outside well then I had it 10x over lol. I've been to Walmart, grocery store, feed store and so on. I go to the park at least once a week to fly. I'm not giving up my flying time because of all this hysteria going on. Actually it's pretty nice. The park pool, kiddie pool, playground and activity center is all closed to the public by not the park it self. Nobody really bother's me where I fly but better yet...nobody's their :). Of course the park ranger shows up every once in awhile. They stop by to say Hi and to watch me fly...from a distance of course lol. Just be smart like Uri mention, stayway from people, wash your hands frequently, you should do that anway and use some common sense. My main concern is my wife. She has no immunes' system. Shes at high risk but always careful. She stays home while I do all the running around. I'm not changing my life sytle but I'm very cautious when I do step out of the house from time to time.

Firstly I hope your partner keeps well,
In England we are officially on lock down, I can cancel travel to work because I work in agriculture we are classed as key workers, we can go shopping for food and medical supplies and are allowed one exercise session per day ie run or bicycle ride don't think my helicopter flight is covered but I'll probably risk it, maiden flight with a 700, I can't wait :adoration:
