Thanks Tony and Randy for that information. It will come in handy for the next time I purchase a monitor and or a TV :).

For monitor info and reviews... I highly recommend watching the vid's on Youtube from Hardware Unboxed... very thorough. If you go into their playlists, their monitor reviews have their own list to help with needing to scroll and search so much.

For some reason my link didn't show up??? Sorry if I looked cray-cray! I have two VG258s now.

ASUS VG258QR 25" (Actual size 24.5") Full HD 1920 x 1080 up to 0.5ms (GTG) 165Hz DVI-D HDMI DisplayPort G-SYNC Compatible Asus Eye Care with Ultra Low-Blue Light & Flicker-Free Gaming Monitor - Newegg.com

BTW I do have a custom unit a computer nut buddy of mine built me. Can't remember all the details, but all I really have to do is add another hard drive, which I have. I thought I would have enough room with the hybrid HD we chose, but I didn't know how much room Windoze 10 takes up!!! You have to love the boot up time with the hybrid. I was floored first time! Almost like a light switch!

Anyway, this is for a complex flight sim, with all the IFR navigation panels, etc. Plus a yoke, throttle quadrant, rudder pedals, switch panels etc.

Thanks!

The link shows up. If you are running an ad blocker, it hides the amazon links.

Just wait until you upgrade to a PCIe Gen 4 M.2 lol. It will make that hybrid drive feel like a 5200 rpm spinning disk lol.

In my current system, I have a 1TB SSD and it boots in about 15 seconds or so. It may be about 25 seconds now, it's starting to slow down.

I lied, from the push of the power button to desktop is 40 seconds. So yea, I need to do some cleaning on this computer.

We got ( and it's still coming down ) some snow over night... Currently at 7:15a, it looks like about 3-4" where I'm at with up to 6-9" being forecast depending on which weather person you are listening too... the NWS is saying 4-6" at the moment. A lot of areas also got a layer of ice before the snow started, so it'll be a little dangerous to get out in if you aren't used to driving on this stuff or haven't drove on it in a while.

The radar at about 7:30a for the area...

Yea, for Oklahoma standards, this is a little nasty. Last snow fall like this was back in Feb of 2011, then before that was Dec of 2009. I remember those years. This will be gone in a couple days though. However, with snow on the ground, and they are calling for clear sky's tonight, it's going to get cold, that's for sure.

Just took the dog out. We got 4-6 inches of snow here at my house. Good snow ball snow too lol. Too bad I'm too lazy to get in a snow ball fight lol.

I thought I was going to have to go on a mercy mission to deliver my exGF's pain meds that had gotten delayed and were now available... luckily her PCA ( personal care assistant ) decided she could make it after all... so that will save me a trip.

I still got out and had sweep the snow off of the side windows, front windshield and hood before I got the text... I think it looked like I got around 5" around here based on what was on the Escape. We've had a bit of wind, in the 15-25mph range, so that estimate is probably a little low. I think the next round is starting which is forecasted to bring under another inch or so.

I'm also glad I'm not located to the SE of myself ( or Tony for that matter ). From Davis through Ada up to about Holdenville shows to have received from 4"-4.5" of rain ( radar estimated ) and they were getting sleet through most of this. I'm uncertain how much ice what would account for but here we were getting a 10:1 snow/rain ratio... so they were hit hard with this one.

I have to say Randy, no matter what Tony says about you lol, your a good man to still care about and care for your ex GF. When we get up in age, we all need someone in our life to help each other out :).

Wow!!! I wish it would snow here. All we get is rain and tornadoes, like we did today. I went out to get food for the dog, and that was it.

If it did snow, I would try out my snow skis that came with my Kingfisher.

BTW I went to Spartan in Tulsa and lived there for a while. I remember non-sticking snow in April.

Oh, so simulators can be games? ;) This is really incredible. My old sim had "dynamic weather", but nothing like this!!!

On a day like today, I would love this, especially with a proper setup, yoke, rudder pedals, etc.

OMG today is so slow at work.... I hate slow days. Takes forever for the day to finish. Maybe I should just finish the goblin setup hahaha.

I just happened to go to bestbuy and saw it on their daily deals, and remembered that you were looking for one. No worries.
