Seriously? Budget cuts or something? That sucks, and explains why you have been MIA for all these months lol.

I wish it was budget cuts. More like idiotic internal politics coupled with a less than brilliant move by the other admin. He's actually still here, but a tech now.

Anyone ever done a phone conference? Did you have "that" person on there that you could swear had their mic sitting on their keyboard? Or random sounds of heavy breathing and shushing...... Yea...

lol. The best was yet to come. It sounds like one person is sitting next to a highway and you can hear trucks going by at high speed, and I just heard a toilet flush....

Ok... Tesla's new Cybertruck is pretty cool looking...

See more info on their website Cybertruck

I think that US law requires side mirrors... unless that has changed. If so, the retail version will have them.

Today is definitely not a day for flying here in Oklahoma. Winds gusting upwards of 70mph today. This is going to get interesting.

Hope everyone had a great turkey day and a great turkey day weekend. Now, it's Monday and it's time to get back to the grind.... Oh yay.

Let see. It was 81 degrees for Thanksgiving day and then this morning we hit freezing temps, 32 degrees in central Florida...BURRRRR! It will be back to mid 80's for the weekend. Can we say the Yo-Yo effect :). Then people wonder why they get sick down here Lol.

In SE Queensland the temperatures are ranging from 20°C to 36°C which is 68°F to 97°F we are desperate for rain the Dams are getting low and because it is so dry there are bush fires burning throughout the state, welcome to summer. Sounds a lot worse than it is, the biggest concern is the lack of rain we are coming into our wettest time of the year with tropical storms but but many of the storms are dry bring only thunder & lightning which starts the bush fires usually in remote inaccessible areas. We have had it before, it appears to be a cycle that repeats every seven years or so, last time a couple of tropical cyclones came along dumping so much rain on us that in early January we were in flood go figure. Many of the profits of doom are sprouting "climate change" but if they look back through our history it's been happening since Australia was discovered.

Yea, that is what a lot of people neglect to look into, the last hundred or so years. They only want to look at the previous 20, if that. It's all a cycle, and it will correct itself over time.

Sucks that you all are having a drought though. We went through that a couple three years ago or so. Horrible times with fires. And I know what you are talking about with lightning causing fires. Hope things get better soon down there!

My return to doing some gaming hasn't been without some pitfalls it seems... Ok, perhaps "pitfalls" was an understatement... :D. My big issue seems to be with slow aiming and reaction times. But maybe it's really not me.... as the games now are so many orders of magnitude harder than what I was playing back in the mid-90's.

I didn't realize how much harder they are now until I went back and played some of the original Doom and didn't seem to have any issues keeping up there. I hadn't planned to look up the older version but the exGF mentioned she'd like to play it again... so I looked around and found a shareware version that made to work in Windows 95 but without mouse support. Later, after I found out that the game engine had been given to the public domain... I found a couple of open source versions of which I like the GZDoom version the most... and it not only supports the mouse, but also HD 1080 too boot.

First runs through, I couldn't help but smile with it bringing back the memories from that earlier time. Don't get me wrong, anyone who plays current games would likely scoff at the graphics, but at that time, it was the pinnacle being one of the first 3D-ish titles out there. IMO, this is where it really began to take off. Of course, you have to keep it in perspective, the Doom of that timeframe's hardest levels are likely where today's Doom starts at ( or are probably a bit easier than actually to tell the truth ).

It's also amazing at where it's gotten too. At one website I stumbled across... they've got over 170 different new maps, mods and add-ons. It'll likely play on about any computer you have as long as it supports a new enough DirectX version.

Mother Nature can't decide what season we are in once again... Yesterday highs here were about 74°. In fact, Spring was in effect enough that eastern Oklahoma was having tornado warnings all over the place. Today, we are at 25° currently but it had gotten down to about 23° overnight. We've even got snow patches in some areas...

Yea, I was laughing at David on 9 saying that we were going to get 2-4". And guess what, I was right.

Thought about a stream, then changed my mind. I have nothing RC related to talk about. Work & Sleep, that is pretty much all I know at this time.

Steam either got better servers and a better pipe, or there is not much activity on the network because I'm downloading all of my games from them and I'm seeing full gigabit download speeds! Well, I was for the first couple games lol. Then it slowed down to about 300Mbps, and now, downloading another game, we are back to gigabit lol. I love my internet lol.
