Spektrum Voltage Telemetry

So I have an FMS Beaver with the Spectrum AR9030T. I was thinking about pulling the ESC out to solder the flight pack voltage harness in.. But I have seen where they make an ES3 harness for this, but I haven't seen one for an EC5. I can make one (have to order supplies), but it would be easier to buy. I decided not to pull the ESC out to solder the wires directly, too much work. Anyone know of a plug and play?

What is the reason for EC5? Just to match what you already have? Voltage telemetry doesn't use much current and really has no need for a large connector. But if that is what you want to use, it's not going to hurt anything.

EC3 and EC5 power connectors are rated at 60a and 100a respectively.... so they are made to handle the current you are going to flow through the wires. As Tony mentioned, to measure the voltage, you aren't going to get anywhere close to the current that either EC connector can handle, in fact you can you a really small connector and it'd work just fine to take a voltage reading ( although, I'd probably use something I planned to use instead of getting something special just for the connector ).

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. You can buy a harness for the EC3 that goes inline between the battery and ESC that has a provision to hook the flight pack voltage wires too. I have not seen a harness for EC5. I just didn't want to splice in the existing wires. I can make a harness. All it needs to be is a couple inches long. Just wondering if anyone sells one.

Oh, you are talking about inline with the battery. Now I get what you are saying. The way I have always done this is to just solder the small wires to the ESC. Less point of failure with the vibrations of a helicopter. But if you want to make one with EC5, you can definitely do it. It will just add some non-bendable sections that you will need to manage.
