Got one hooked, oh yeah. I think your going to love it. The standard electronics pack has everything you need but the brain.

I would fit the Brian on the the lower frame plate or under the boom block. That way nothing needs extended. I fit a Vbar Neo under the boom block, fit was just the right size.

I got the Oxy 2 Essentials kit. I was going to get BK Servos but I think they would be too heavy for it, or are they?

MKS is the only high end servo for that kit.

BK servos are to wide and heavy. I run the stock essential servos. This kit with a 3s 45c 850 mah pack should be under 250 grams.

Its because if the size. This frame is designed different than the Align 250. The servo layout is way better over the Align. That's the reason for the servos being smaller. I am sure if you really wanted to you could shoe horn the servo in.

Personally this kit performs just fine on the lynx servos which are way cheaper.

Lynx ds 895
  • Dimension: 20.05 x 8.35 x 19.70 mm
  • 5.45 grams per cyclic

BK 3005
Dimensions: 12x23x27mm
20 grams per cyclic.

Now the oxy 2 can take 2 different height servos. The lower main block has 2 positions to accommodate different servos.

Unless your on the pro circuit I wouldn't put much money into the oxy 2. I don't think it was intended to be decked out.

Tareq and Chris Ribert both use MKS on their kits.

I can’t wait to get it set up and flying. I’m excited about this heli. It is engineered IMO a lot better than others in its class

So I had a minor mishap with the oxy2.

Only damage appears to be with the main gear. It looks like it may have been chewed a little. So I am not taking any chances with the gear being bad. So I ordered a new main gear, a new set of pinoins (10, 11, 12) and a new set of tail blades in orange. Got the blades because they are orange and no other reason.

As for the pinion, well the only main gear in stock was the cnc slant cut. This means I need a new pinion. I also feel that the stock 11T is just not enough. I was hoping to get over 4.4K at the head and was just shy of it. Now I hope I don't loose much pack .

Going helical cut in most cases will not only be stronger, but also quieter since not all of the gear is slapping together at once. So it's a win/win situation going with a helical cut gears!

Yes, but I will need to soak the pinion in acetone for a bit before swapping pinions.
Keep in mind that everything is green thread locked . So this is going to be a pita to work. Thank gawd I got full strength acetone at work.

I’ve got my Oxy 2 at about 95%. The tail needs to be fixed and the motor has an issue. I haven’t been doing the heli thing too much because I’m broke and can’t afford new helis or parts (right now)

No not right of hand.

All I can suggest is to break down the motor and investigate the parts. Maybe check the gear mesh and your esc settings. I think the frequency and/or timing can cause an over heat.

My X3 has the same issue but in have all new parts on it and the esc is also affected.

If the connections between the motor and ESC are weak could it cause the motor to overheat? The soldering connections seem to not be good for the 2 mm banana connections so could this cause the motor to overheat?
