Hi guys, I picked up a kit for my latest scale build. A Chaos 600/ESP clone. Great for scale mechanics. I open the box and... well see the photo. Looks like the kit was put together with stock parts laying around. I honestly dont mind that but there is hardware missing and a few parts. So the Flasher, Phonixtech and Chaos are all the same. But the main frames in this box are HK600 frames. Some fishy stuff here... I'll let you know how this turns out.....IMG_0667.JPG

Well, we all know how I feel about the HK600GT..... I wouldn't be happy with that...

Exactly, but I wouldn't even mind that except the bearing blocks don't fit right in the frames nor do the little plastic servo nuts that go on the inside.... Only me this could happen to... lol

Oh no, I have your exact same, if not worse, luck lol. I would definitely be looking to return this one.

If you can see issues before you start building, send it back, there will be more issues pop up once you get into the build. Not worth the stress that it will bring.

Sorry to here that fran. That does suck. Did you get that kit of EBay? I'm very Leary about buying stuff of them. Hopefully you used PayPal because there very good about getting your money back. Good luck this time and future purchases.

No not Ebay. And yes used PP. I want to talk to them before I say who it was, give them a chance to fix it hopefully...

There is only one company that I know of that sells Chaos frames. That company is RC Aerodine. Unless you got it from them then its not a chaos. If you did order from them then get in contact with (I think his name is) Cliff. That should be the owner. The company is based out of Texas so getting support should be fairly easy.

I would be a bit tweaked about the situation myself.

Well, it was RC Aerodyne. Spoke to Cliff. He assured me there not HK frames and is sending all the missing stuff. The frames are 2mm thick and nicely machined so I don't have a problem using them. He was very nice and understanding. Well see....

Just to update this thread, Cliff sent me some stuff but found out that the frames in the kit are not going to work. Not sure whats up with this kit I got but he is sorting it out for me. I will update what its settled. BUT, 4 blade head came from Germany today:applouse:..... IMG_0696.JPG

Well Cliff has sent me a another complete kit. He said take what you need and send the rest back.... Wow, was not expecting that... Took some time but he took care of me... Now on with the build

Messing with the EC145 today and got the mechanics set in the fuselage. I always seem to struggle getting the CG right. I had to add quite a bit of weight to the front to get it to balance. Then I took the seats out and moved the battery's all the way forward. Was able to shed almost a pound. Sacrifice the cockpit for weight? Maybe.... Still a heavy 600IMG_0872.JPG IMG_0873.JPG
