What Did You Do Today???

For those that tuned in last night for the design and print, it was mostly a success. Needs some tweaking, but it is definitely going to work.

woke up during a heavy hail storm and couldn't go back to sleep. 2 hours... not enough....

It was the thunder from that storm that woke me... some of the stronger bolts I've heard in quite a while. The hail was a bit noisy as well but paled in comparison to the flash/bangs... :D

Not down here lol. Yes, the lightning was awesome and had some great thunder with it, but that makes me sleep. When it sounds like there are a thousand people on my roof with hammers beating the crap out of it, yea, that wakes me up lol. It was quite loud.

You know what I love about eating a bowl of biscuits and gravy? When the biscuits run out and I have an excuse to eat just the gravy!!!

SWEEET! Finally we switched cable provider and got fiber optic today :chickendance:Damn it's fast. Like night and day :arms:I haven't tried uploading any videos yet but I hope it doesn't take 1 1/2 hrs for 6 min. video like it use too :boohoo:. I can also watch TV on all 3 cell phones and laptop at the SAME time...too cool. Now when I'm gaming I can watch 3 things at once like the news, MMA fighting and Live RCHelp and still play Xbox 1... awesome :huepfenicon111:

What is your speed test showing? Test with speedtest.net and also test with test.oecfiber.com which is made for fiber testing.

Hey there Tony. Probably nowhere near yours but the speed test reads, Ping 29/Download 24.32/ upload 1.89 for oecfiber reads Download 25.61/ upload 3.03/ Ping 64.03/ Jitter 0.21 all I know it's freaking fast compare to what I had :).

I'm just trying to give you an estimate of your upload times. So for a normal 1.5GB file at 3Mbps, which is 12000 megabits, it will take about 66 minutes to upload. But that is for a 1.5GB (gigabyte) file. For me, it takes about 13 seconds :chuckles:

But, I doubt your file size is that large. There are a lot of ways to get that file size down such as using MP4. If you have a fiber connection, see about getting symetrical 100Mbps internet. You will love it.

In reality though, I can't upload that fast to youtube. Youtube limits you to about 300Mbps which sucks. but I can upload multiple videos at the same time lol. So if I start uploading 3 videos, I can still stream and watch videos lol. If I upload 4, well then it starts to clog up my network.

Finally updated my DX9 to the latest version. Installing the new sound file as I type this. The sound file is taking far longer to load than the firmware update did....

Yesterday I did a speed test and oecfiber test. The only problem was that the cable guy didn't hard wire our computer to the modem so the test was in WiFi...I guess. So this morning I did another test after connecting our hard wire from the old modem to the new one. Speed test reads Ping 11/Download 43.91/ upload 5.65 and oecfiber test reads Download 46.64/ upload 5.85/ Ping 58.13/ Jitter 0.81 I take it that the hardwire reading is better then the WiFi reading...I hope.

hardwired is always better than wifi. You get lag and slower speeds with wifi. Unless I just don't care about speeds (like now on my lappy) or I'm using my phone, everything I own is hard wired directly to my switch. Now you understand why I invested in a 48 port switch lol. Just makes things so much more reliable!

Started a live stream with a plain white background that says "Hi" in black lettering. Let it run for a while and you get some really weird comments lmao. This is fun...

Too windy to fly, had the flying mates over for coffee, stripped down a helicopter to sell off the parts I don't want and extracted the servos that I do, then went to the Munich Brauhaus, Brisbane, had a great night.

That was great!
I too am a country boy. I pretty much hate the city. I like wide open spaces. Here in Hawaii their kind of hard to find. It makes meteor shower night difficult sometimes.. But for the most part we manage to infiltrate the good sites and party!

I got retired early because of medical problems so I know all about back pain, knee pain, neck pain. But wait there's more, but I'm drinking a Becks and watching some old cheezie rerun of the Invaders. Never saw it before. Thanks god! Ha!

Hey If I lived there, I'd be making some great fireworks.
