Servos Dead Band Width

If this is for a servo then the servo mfg should have that info in the spec sheet.

The dead band has to do with how well the servo centers and operates around center. I don't know the science behind it but rdsok can probably give you a full on college lecture on it. While tony will give the Barney version.

Just for the OCD in everyone... it isn't a us "you ess" ... it's a µs for micro seconds.

Since radio and electronic signals also have noise in them... if the servo's were to always move with a signal change, they'd just jitter back and forth all of the time... The dead band amount is how much signal must be present before the servo starts moving.
