380/420 Gaui X3 Wire Management

Hey guys,

Has anyone installed an Ikon2 on their Gaui X3? I'm looking for some wire management advice.
There are a ton of wires, I'm not sure what to do with them. Pictures would be great.

Thanks,
Dino

I think wire management takes longer than head setup lol. The X3 is not that large so the Ikon (unless you are using the mini) is quite large making WM even harder. Can't wait to see how @Geena has hers managed. I would say @murankar but I think he has his torn apart and for sale ATM.

Here is my layout. All wires run inside the frames back to the VBar Neo. Tail servo goes through the frame side, esc drops down along the side and zip ties to keep it in place.

Cyclic runs back to the tail block and drops down between the block and frame sides. Then zip tied in place. I kept the right side frame off till all the wiring was done. Then I finished up by fastening the frame side in 0lace.

I'll say Tony, it looks like a rats nest right now. I'll definitely have to sit down and think about this one.

Thanks,
Dino

These are really good, thanks Murankar.

One thing you can do is shorten the servo wires to exact lengths. Takes a crimper but makes it look really good.

Watching this thread closely, start my X3 built on the 26th

Agreed looks good if but be careful not to make them too short I have a Chase 360 where the elevator servo wire was shortened to 1.5" very limiting, on top of that they painted the servo wires all black, very confusing.

Having been an Align & Clone builder for years I have more recently moved away from Align to KDS & Compass and find they all have their own way of doing things, so now trying a Gaui the more information I get the easier it will be to get a good build straight up.

Not ever owning a true align I cant say how Gaui is compared to Align. Now I have built a clone and I can say for the most part they as similar in design and build. Oh wait I did own an Align once, a Dominator 360. But I never really built it. Right @Tony .

That's right. The tail of that dom is in a box somewhere but the frame is on my old Align Pro V2 because I like the motor placement and battery tray much better than the old pro models.

Hey Admiral, URI right about the Gaui X3 being an easy build. I'm hoping the X3l is too. I also cant wait for the 26th to start my build :).

The X3s are tiny machines and have very little realestate available for wiring. Not to mention I crash them a LOT, because I tend to fly them like I hate them. I don`t get too twisted about making them neat, and tidy like I do with the 700s... I just make their wiring functional. I mount the receiver and FBL unit on the rear, over the transmission, and kinda jumble the wires as best I can and tie them off with a velcro strap.
