What Should Rc-help Purchase? Members Decide.

In the time that I have been in a "holding pattern" so to speak with the site, the revenue has kept coming in from places like Banggood and Patreon from our awesome Patrons as well as from the awesome members right here on the site who have become supporting members for $3.00 a month! The supporting members have helped keep the server paid and the "lights on" for the site, but Patreon and Banggood have been accumulating money the whole time.

I don't do this for personal gain, I do this to help others in the hobby! This is why I wanted to know what we should purchase to review, use, build, modify or whatever we want to do with whatever we purchase.

The issue is, what would you like us to purchase?

We have about $200 to play around with and I'm asking all of you what you would like to see us do on video?

I had thought about getting a hot air station (pretty cheap at only $65) to rework different electrical components. I had thought about using the money to invest in equipment for making videos such as new web cams, capture cards or the like. But quite honestly, I would like to hear your opinions on what you would like to see us get for upcoming videos.

Post in the comments below with your suggestions and once we have quite a few items listed, I will make a thread with a poll for what we should get first. This will not be the last time we do this, in fact, I would like this to be the way we get new products from now on.

Lets hear your opinions!

Well, I did just purchase one major item last night. Found it by mistake for an amazing deal that I couldn't pass up. Didn't use any of the funds mentioned above on it though. Probably sleeping in the dog house tonight lol.

Hard to say, I would consider studio stuff as well. I also have noticed we do more air than ground as of late. Wondering how a ground related video would work.

Can you rephrase your middle statement? I'm sure autocorrect is playing games there.

haha, I know the feeling.

We have always done more air than ground, but I think I need to make a change to get more into the ground area. I have people hound me every time I make a video that is not ground. And I'm going to. I have a series planed, possibly multiple series' on ground only. From bashing to racing. It's going to be fun.

Maybe get to a track and do a video on how to properly control the vehicle when performing maneuvers. ...and the like...

The only issue with that is, there are no tracks close to me anymore. I only went to one since they were pretty decent. Fell off on the track maintenance in the last few years before they closed and that just happens to be when I quit going.

But, I think I have an idea. I just need to find some orange 3" or 4" flexible pipe and some 12" nails or some corrugated black drain pipe. Not sure where to even start looking for that stuff.

You have to take the fittings that go with them too...no exceptions...

They were going to throw this stuff away at work and I said 'oh no!'. Five 10' joints of sch40 pipe and several 90s, wyes, tees... Probably a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff. And what have I done with it? Nothing. I said I was going to sell it but I just want it gone now. I'm not a hoarder..

Mom: "No!! No!! No!! Those things will put your eye out!"
