Setups No Osd

Hey there. A little problem that I cant put my finger on it. I recently purchased 2 GPS units for my 180 and 210, just to have Lol. Anyway i have no problem getting the GPS to connect to the satellites and get the green true reading on betaflight. I've done everything to get OSD on my fpv goggles to work but nothing. I've turn on OSD on in configuration tab. GPS too. I uploaded font and save and still nothing. Both quads gps unit work and both quads show nothing on my goggle screen. Any ideas will be appreciated.

I know you said you turned on GPS and OSD, but did you look at the individual options for the OSD? Also, have you looked at your dump file to see what it says? I know there is another code you can use that is easier where you do something like "find gps" or something like that. Been a while since I played with these things.

Hey Tony. Thanks for the reply. Good guest but it's not find gps it's set osd i found out while looking around. Once I get into that command, I'm not sure what to look for or what to do. It is a Omnibus F4V2 FC and I do have Long/Lat. readings on the GPS plus the green staus light is on 3D fix in the set up tab in betaflight. I try a few things and still no GPS OSD on my FatShark Transformer goggles. Overall the quads are flying great. New videos to come :).

Go into CLI and type "get all" (I think that is what I'm wanting lol) and post the output here. If it doesn't output anything then just do "dump" and post that here. obviously without the quotes though.

The only thing that I can find that might be something is the "set gps_auto_baud = OFF", but I don't think that would stop it from showing on the OSD. Other than that, I see nothing else that could be wrong...

Do you have anything else showing on your OSD?
Are you using the default OSD layout or have you changed anything?
You have connected the camera and VTX to the flight controller right?

Hey there Stambo. Let see, anything else showing on the OSD, no sir just the FPV camera view. Yes sir I'm using the default layout and haven't change anything on that. According to the diagram, my FC and VTX are wired correctly. I've heard that if everything is connected right and i have true 3D Fix reading on betaflight setup tab that it could be a software problem with the Omnibus F4 V2. I'll go through the whole setup again just to make sure that I didn't goof up. Lord knows I'm good a that LOL.

This may need a new flash. I'm thinking something is messed up in the code somewhere which is causing the OSD not to show up. Might try to reflash the firmware. be sure to backup your settings to make setup a LOT easier though. You can use diff or diff all to print out the settings, but I have always used dump as my command. Diff will only show you profiles that have been changed from default but will only show the current PID profile. Diff All will show everything that has changed just like diff, but it will print out ALL of the PID profiles if you have multiple. Either way, save a dump file just in case.

Can you get a close up detailed pic view of your FC, camera and vtx wiring.
If you have the in and out reversed you will get no OSD.

OK, I had my wires cross again :(. Here's a pic of my wiring IMG_3365.JPG . The red and black wires that curl around each other coming out of the vtx is my positive /negative soldered to the PDB. The yellow wire out of the vtx is connected to Vout. The brown wire is soldered to nothing right now. The yellow wire coming out of the camera harness is soldered to the Vin. The black wire is soldered to the ground on the FC and the red wire is soldered to the red wire on the VTX. The brown wire i'm not sure where it goes. Here's my VTX Lumenier TX5G6R Mini 600mW 5.8GHz FPV Transmitter with Raceband Where am I goofing up at?

Try running a ground (black) from the VTX to the ground on the FC.
That may be your issue.
If not it may be a configuration issue, or even incorrect firmware.
Double check that you have the right version for your FC.

OK ladies and gentlemen. I have OSD now :). The BR. wire was the ground from the vtx instead of BLK. I soldered that to the flight controller and BINGO. I was close but no cigar. Thanks for lighting up my cigar all lol.

Excellent, I was pretty sure it needed an earth, but who uses brown for that?

The overall color in the world for Earth is brown. At least with dirt it is lmao. Around here it is more red than anything hahaha.
