Trucks Tmaxx Transmission Test

Has anyone ever done a test on the difference in performance between transmissions that have reverse and those that don't? I have read somewhere that the ones with reverse perform worse.

I have plans on doing a video on just this subject. Basically it comes down to what gear you are actually in. I have seen a lot of people that confuse forward and reverse after doing a truck rebuild and putting the diff's in backwards. Basically they are running the transmission in reverse with flipped diff's which makes the transmission MUCH WEAKER and robbing more power than it normally would in forward gear. The thing is, it will shift just fine in reverse just like it does in forward.

But to give a simple answer after that.... lmao... Removing the reverse in a properly working transmission will not net you much if anything at all other than reliability. Less moving parts. And if you put in a single speed kit, it makes it even better, but you have to tune better since there is no clutch dog to engage to spin the tires. You spin the spur, it will spin the tires, unlike a stock T-Maxx.

Hope this helps.
